1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the Malik Tours & Travels website (maliktoursandtravels.com) or confirming a booking through our online forms, you agree to comply with and be bound by the terms and conditions outlined below. These terms apply to all clients, booking agents, and travelers hiring our fleet.

2. Rental and Booking Policies

All bookings verified via WhatsApp or email are subject to the following standard rental operational rules:

  • Minimum Daily Distance: For outstation trips, a minimum average running distance of 250 Km per calendar day is calculated. If the actual distance driven is lower, the minimum 250 Km/day tariff will still apply.
  • Driver Allowance (Batta): A daily driver allowance is charged. Standard outstation driver allowance is ₹400 per day, and a night driver allowance of ₹600 per day applies for driving between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM.
  • Hours of Operation: Calendar days run from 12:00 Midnight to 12:00 Midnight. Trips running past midnight will begin a new day's billing (including driver allowance and minimum km calculations).

3. Tariff Exclusions & Extra Charges

Unless specifically stated in writing by our booking desk, our estimated tariffs represent only the vehicle rent and fuel. The following expenses are not included in the estimated fares and must be settled by the customer:

  • Toll Gate Fees: Toll charges incurred on national or state highways during the journey.
  • Interstate Permits: If traveling outside Tamil Nadu (e.g., to Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Pondicherry), state entrance permit fees must be paid by the customer.
  • Parking Fees: Parking charges at tourist points, hotels, airports, or railway stations.
  • GST: Government services tax (if applicable).

4. Cancellations and Refunds

To cancel a confirmed booking, you must contact our helpline at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled pickup time. The cancellation terms are as follows:

  • Cancellations made 24 hours or more before pickup: Full refund of any advance booking deposit.
  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours before pickup: The advance deposit will be forfeited, or a cancellation fee of ₹1,000 will apply.
  • No-Show: If the customer does not arrive at the designated pickup point within 2 hours of the scheduled time without notifying us, the trip will be canceled, and the booking advance will be non-refundable.

5. Vehicle Usage Rules & Conduct

Passengers must abide by standard rules of safety and vehicle preservation:

  • No Smoking or Illegal Substance Use inside the vehicle is permitted under any circumstances.
  • Passengers will be held financially liable for any intentional damage caused to the vehicle interiors, seats, sound systems, or TV screens during the rental.
  • Luggage must fit comfortably within the designated vehicle boot space or roof carrier. Overloading beyond licensed safety limits is strictly prohibited.

6. Limitation of Liability

Malik Tours & Travels aims for absolute punctuality. However, we are not liable for trip delays, cancellations, or route alterations caused by events outside our control (force majeure), including severe weather conditions, road blocks, landslides, political strikes, vehicle breakdowns, or highway traffic congestion. In the event of a vehicle breakdown, we will make every effort to arrange an alternative vehicle as quickly as possible.

7. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, and any disputes relating to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
